Job Description

Regional Manager of Wind is responsible for the direction, management, and control of the wind asset management function.. Responsibilities include oversight of plant operations and lead strategy formulation for operations and maintenance activities, contract management, and major repairs and capital improvements to ensure maximum project profitability and the establishment of long-range project business and plant operational strategies. The Regional Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations and works with an interdisciplinary team to manage project financial matters, community relations, environmental and regulatory actions, safety program implementation, and approving budgets and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities Include: Managing the performance and development of all facility personnel and third party contractors. Overall P&L responsibility and performance of facilities and region. Oversight and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators and facility evaluation. Working with interdisciplinary teams of professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements, prosecute major repair and capital improvement projects, and maintain and report on regional profitability. Ensure annual budgets and spending plans are submitted accurately in a timely manner. Complete, and ensure completion of employee reviews. Act as a role model with regards to all company policies and practices including code of ethics and safety, and operational compliance. Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures by all employees. Actively participating in Zenith Continuous Improvement Program.. Special projects as required and deemed appropriate by your Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements: 5+ years experience managing multiple wind power plants at management level. BS in an Engineering Discipline, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and maintain governmental and community relations at the local, state, and federal level. Demonstrated superior ability to effectively communicate verbally at a number of levels including facility staff, office staff, management, stakeholders, and the general public. Superior written communication skills, 3+ years relevant experience in interfacing with Utilities and/or ISO`s. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database applications. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Availability for local, domestic and international travel; up to 50%. Ability to be on call or work off hours as needed. Ability to be on your feet walking around facilities at least 50% of the day. Ability to work at heights up to 325 feet and climb ladders/stairs and lift as required to perform necessary job tasks.
