Plan, organize, coordinate, direct and review field and shop activities involved in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of a variety of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment and systems. Develop and direct the implementation of goals, objectives and work standards. Interview and select job applicants, supervise and evaluate staff, prepare and administer the section budget. Coordinate day to day activities and arrange for and coordinate work directly with other city agencies, vendors and contractors on construction and special projects including plan review and recommendations. • Vice-Chair 1998-1999 and Chair 1999 thru 2005 of the Editorial Advisory Board for Operations Forum Magazine, a publication of the Water Environment Federation.
• Chair of the Water Environment Federation Publications Committee from 2005 to 2008 and continue to serve as a member of the committee.
• City of Sparks Labor/Management Committee as a member, vice-chair and chair from 1997 to present. This committee was responsible for administering Employee Awards Program, organizing and conducting employee events as well as addressing issues that were brought to the attention of the committee for answers or direction.
• Chosen by the Sparks City Manager for the Future Finders group in 2007. This is the Strategic Planning Team for the City of Sparks where I served as one of five Goal Managers and supervised four Objectives Managers dealing with future transportation issues for the City.
