| Objective : |
As a former U.S. Marine I have maintained strong leadership and team-oriented skills, with the ability to organize, and work with team members for common goals. I also possess strong analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills. I thrive in fast-paced environments, and have an outstanding ability to make clear decisions in high stress and demanding situations.
In addition to my desire to join your team, you will find I am extremely dedicated, and loyal to the company and the team. My experiences offer a well-versed mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to handle issues with minimal downtime and production time loss. I am also HAZMAT trained and knowledgeable of OSHA, and environmental regulations and requirements.
I have had the opportunity to implement several processes that assisted in reducing unscheduled production downtime and reducing overall maintenance overhead costs.
Some of my accomplishments are;
•Implemented a routine preventative maintenance and lubrication program, via MP2 (CMMS - by Datastream) for production equipment. This included maintaining maintenance records and logs on each production line.
•Implemented a new 10k square foot Central Stores department, with over 9,000 maintenance part numbers, and $1.7 million dollars in inventory. Consolidated all purchasing, receiving and inventory to this central location and developed a company wide requisition system.
•Planned, implemented, and evaluated a successful lock-out/tag-out program within the maintenance department, which included written safety instructions for working on equipment.
•Reduced maintenance downtime by 60% by taking a strong proactive approach to maintenance, which assisted production in attaining new records in production.
•Successfully planned and managed a $2.7 million expansion and upgrade project.
If you agree that my qualifications are a close fit to your needs, I would be delighted to meet with you personally to discuss the maintenance needs and strategies for your company.
Very Sincerely,
Ralph E. Place
