15 years experience as an investment banker and consultant, I began working in the renewable energy sector before the recent boom. I’ve been preparing myself as a renewable energy business development strategist and investment manager and count myself among the few to combine hands-on transaction experience with renewable energy market expertise.

Quick, efficient and high-quality transaction execution
An assistant director at CA IB Investment Bank in Budapest, I managed a small transaction team that sold a portfolio of digital advertising companies in two and a half months. Our clients the selling shareholders were very pleased our transaction team was able get a deal done under an accelerated time table, despite a two-round competitive bidding process. (2006)
Director of my own financial consulting company, Treeland Kft, I provided a refinancing plan to my client the CEO of a chain of bakeries in Amsterdam. I also stopped a poorly-designed recapitalization plan that would have ended in tears for everyone involved at an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting. (2000-2001)

All-round experience raising capital from A-list investors
In my first tour as assistant director at CAIB in Budapest, I performed due diligence, drafted issue prospectuses, and prepared and helped deliver road-show presentations and one-on-one meetings with investors such as Scottish Widows, Soros Fund Management and State Street Global Advisers throughout Europe and the US. (1996 to 1998)
In providing investor relations services to Synergon Rt., namely assistance in preparing stock exchange reports and the company’s annual report, I honed my sensitivity to the way company events are presented to investors. (1999)
My experience working on three international private placements / local public offerings of Reg S and Rule 144a global depositary receipts remains relevant as GDR issues continue to be the preferred means for companies to raise capital on the international markets. I’ve supplemented this knowledge through self-study of the changes in financial reporting required under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. (2002 to present)

In at the start of the renewable energy boom
I originated CA IB Corporate Finance’s first ever advisory mandate from a renewable energy company, photovoltaic module producer Solon AG, in 2005. Supply-chain issues motivated the potential transaction and I got a first-hand look into solar power economics at the beginning of the polysilicon shortage. (2005)
As Senior Analyst of Emerging Energy Research, I helped build a solar power advisory service from scratch, preparing a 300-page market study of European PV Development Strategies and comprehensive project databases, providing in-depth advisory services to renewable energy investors GE Energy Financial Services and Recurrent Energy, lending strong sales support at conferences (delivered Sharp Solar USA as a client) and representing EER in other international venues. (2008 to 2009)
