Professional Experience
Dec. 1992- June 2009, Valley Crest Landscape Development, predominately a construction company with 30% landscape.
In my 17yr there I have done almost every job function, with the past 7yr as their Safety Manager, administering to over 600 employees in 9 states.
In 2006-2008 as Safety officer on the NAS Pensacola project, and have developed a good working relationship with Mike Jordan, the Navy safety inspector. I now have an excellent working experience with the EM385-1-1, and I also served as the QC officer during the search for a permanent replacement for that position.
I have worked as Fountain Superintendent for the 5 previous years, managing all aspects of grading, plumbing, concrete, and stone work.
Certifications and Training
I am OSHA 500 Authorized for 10 & 30hr, Forklift Safety, Trenching and Shoring, Scaffold Safety, Aerial Platforms, CPR/AED, Competent Person, and Confined Space.
Education
I have an Assoc degree from Ohio State Univ., in Horticulture.
I am enrolled at Georgia Tech in the OTI Certification process, to end up with a certification in Industrial Safety & Health and Construction Safety & Health.
I am also in the admissions process with Columbia Southern Univ. to attain a BS degree, in Occupational Safety & Health.
