Feb 2008 to Dec 2008 Albuquerque NM Heads up Landscaping Project Manager I oversaw the entire lifecycle, from start to finish, for projects ranging in scope from $60,000 to $2.1 million. Reviewed bid sheets, including material, manpower, and machinery requirements as well as delivery dates. Interfaced with clients, architects, and planning department staff to coordinate project details. Negotiated pricing with suppliers. I Handled billing and scheduling; managed light and heavy equipment for grading, transport and installing dirt, gravel, trees, and landscape plantings. Reviewed project progress with field superintendents and conducted weekly P&L reviews to ensure profitability and address future estimating issues. Some accomplishments are below. Implemented Sure Trax project tracking software to show owners progress as well as facilitate tracking of expenses, manpower, and materials. I managed a total of $14 million in major landscaping contracts, including a $1.2 million project for Fidelity Investments that was completed within budget and two months ahead of schedule. Delivered substantial savings by proactively purchasing materials prior to price increases due to fuel costs as well as training employees in more efficiently operating heavy machinery.
