The best way to interview an executive is to have a prescreening conversation over the phone to make sure the construction employer is comfortable with the executive before taking time to meet in person. Sometimes even references should be checked to avoid wasting anyone’s time.
First time interviews should be short and objective, lasting no more than 30 minutes. There should be a set series of questions asked of each executive to best measure each executive fairly. Those with the best answers should be invited in for a more detailed and exhaustive interview.
