Should I stay or leave my construction employer to get the most pay out of my career?

Unfortunately, employees who stay with their firms throughout their careers show a lower income than those that move strategically. Moving TOO much can cause your pay to go backwards since you are perceived as less valuable to an employer- less stable.
Not moving subjects you to standard pay increases and promotions according to the firm’s needs. If you are ready for advancement and your firm cannot provide it, you should consider looking at those who can to get the most pay and opportunity available. Make sure to do your homework and background checking before assuming that you are due an increase.
