What is Construction Chief Estimator Job Description ?

Job Description Responsibilities will include: Assist with the continued development of the estimating system Prepare/review tender documents Prepare trade lists and invitations to bid Provide detailed quantity take-offs for all architectural and structural elements Prepare full construction estimates Cost control in design development Prepare, monitor and update construction budgets Review and analyze submitted tenders Prepare contract documents Review trade contractor change orders Prepare trade contract final accounts Educational Requirements: Degree or Diploma in a Construction Related Field and/or Quantity Surveying Skill Requirements: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project or equivalent Proficient in estimating software like Timberline Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem solving skills Ability to work in a dynamic environment managing own workload Committed team player
