What is the job description for a Construction Masonry President?

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversees all the financial activities for the entire corporation (budgeting, receipt of revenue, expenditures of funds and conservation of assets, etc.) • Oversees the field operations (production scheduling, quality control, costs and profits) • Track daily profitability of all projects, review of cost accounting on a weekly basis on a per project basis as well as on a regional basis • Generate backlog and manpower loading reports • Oversees the collection of outstanding debts • Preview daily job cost reports and production reports • Prepare claims and litigation. • Settle disputes to the benefit of company profitability and good client relationships • Negotiate, review and sign all contracts. • Oversees estimating department - review shop drawings - review of bid estimates with estimators - approve final bid • Negotiate bid quote changes with General Contractors • Hold weekly progress meetings with staff (new jobs - status of pending bids - start-up dates - status of extra work orders, etc.) • Oversee the shop operations of mechanics - inventory control and maintenance of machinery, truck operations, etc • Work closely with Safety Director in implementing OSHA Compliance Regulations and Field Safety Procedures • Marketing and Business Development Qualifications: • MBA - Construction Management Degree • Civil Engineering Degree • Five to ten years experience in senior level management within the construction industry area - masonry preferred but not required • Excellent people skills ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES DESIRED: • Knowledge of federal and state regulations • Skill in developing policy and procedure documents • Ability to read plans and estimate project • Knowledge of OSHA Regulations • Familiar with construction insurance requirement - workers’ compensation cases negotiations - procedures filings, etc. • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data - job costs reports - production reports
