Taking time away from the construction employer work environment is always a positive team builder. Firms should sponsor softball, bowling and other activities that involve employee participation. Projects should be team-oriented, allowing the team to choose its own leader. Mentoring programs, open door policies where employees can visit with management to get their questions answered and develop a connection with management is important.
